Civic Duty
Still working the local beat of her hometown newspaper, Kate Sutherland is married, pregnant, and bored. All is routine as she’s set to cover the last trial of Judge Budd. She’s counting down the minutes ‘til she can get a diet coke and go take a nap. While she tries to stay un-involved, the trial and the town have another plan for her.
Not a coming of age, but a coming to terms.
