WHO ARE WE?

Best friends, Funny Ladies:
A Brief History. 
The Monthly Junk started in 2013, as Sarah Adams and Maggie Rieth Austin sat in front of an old couch in the Dallas Comedy House lobby and laughed and laughed at how hilarious they were. Before too long, they put up a camera and filmed some bits. Ever since that day, they have been making each other laugh on and off camera.

As a duo, The Monthly Junk has written, produced, and performed in sketch comedy both on screen and on the stage. They can also be seen performing their improvised show, The Monthly Junk, at the Dallas Comedy House and comedy festivals across the country.

We got our start producing and creating our own shorts. We love the creative process and watching an idea become a reality.  We're also passionate about supporting other women in film.
