Wait - it’s February already?! Dang, y’all!

Here’s a few highlights of what we were up to in January.

The Service Elevator has been submitted to a few festivals, and  so far, we’ve been accepted as an Official Selection to the Short. Sweet. Film Fest!

Oh, and we recorded the first episode of our new podcast ‘Scope Scoop’ with the lovely Katherine Harper. She’s so great and fabulous.

We performed in a few improv shows at Dallas Comedy House, and our first Sketch for Screen class started! Those noodles are doing some really great stuff.

Lastly, we started a new collaboration with the fine folks of We Denton Do It - did you get a chance to see our ‘What Denton Did’ recap?

Ah, December: the last month of the year, the end of 2016, filled with Christmas and cookies and cheer! We spent most of December reflecting on 2016, setting goals for 2017, and getting things in order to make things happen.

We made vision boards. We wrote a curriculum for Dallas Comedy House's Sketch for Screen class. We sent our short The Service Elevator off to festivals with our fingers crossed.

Though it had it's ups and downs, 2016 was a big year for us. It got us working and creating content, and made it clear that this is something we want to pursue full force in the future.

We've come a long way from the women who made this where are they now video two years ago, and can't wait to come back to this post two years from now and think "Wow. That's hilarious. We've come a long way."

Happy New Year,
Sarah & Maggie

This month, we took some incredible promo photos with the talented Will Milne. The backdrop: Denton's very own Chairy Orchard where Teddy Bears, fancy chandeliers, and vintage chairs are free to be themselves. The outfits: over-sized tutus and hair-bows because we're grown women and do what we want.

Will was great to work with and made our imagination come to life. He's also an all-around cool dude who helps run the We Denton Do It: a website featuring unique things to do/see/experience in Denton, TX.

We also posted our newest digital short: Puppies on Parade. The video features adorable dogs from Paws in the City who are looking for their fur-ever homes. As proud puppy parents to rescue dogs, we were thrilled to combine our two top passions for this video: puppies (!!!) and make 'em ups.

At the start of the month, we shot our newest short film, The Service Elevator. You can learn more about that by clicking here.

And, to top it all off, we were accepted into the Other World's Austin Film Festival for our short Girl Ghost Getters.  The screening is on Saturday, December 3 at 10:30 before the feature Bed of the Dead. If you're in the Austin area, you should check out the festival and overload on all the sci-fi films your little heart desires.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Maggie & Sarah
